We have a new DJ all the way from Australia featured here.

With sets at some of Perth’s best clubs and events, including multiple appearances at Australia’s number one nightclub, Metro City; it has been an amazing start to the year for Perth’s up and coming Trance and Progressive DJ: Jason Creek.

Jason’s unique blend of melodic trance with banging progressive house has allowed him to play at some of Perth’s best venues on a regular basis. His energy behind the decks has led to him playing at venues such as Ambar, Bar Open, Luxe bar and FlyBy nightclub to name a few, with his energy always certain to get the crowd moving. He has also managed to secure several residencies in the Perth and Mandurah area, including the prestigious Brighton Hotel and the recently refurbished ‘Slug. Jason has also become a regular addition at Bar 138, a hot spot of Perth’s emerging talent.

2009 has also seen Jason flourish both in and outside of the Perth dance scene. With a guest appearance on Asia’s most influential Trance radio show; Radio-Kul, Jason has since slowly began building a profile in the South-East Asia region with a growing number of fans tuning into Jason’s monthly radio show. In addition to this his monthly radio show was selected in the top 20 in the country by Australia’s largest electronic music site, inthemix.com.

This year we also saw Jason becoming President of the largest student organisation in Western Australia devoted to dance music; the Electronic Music Appreciation Society (EMAS). In his newly appointed position Jason has been responsible for events and initiatives such as Love Parade (Prosh 2009), DJ and Production tutorials and events at some of Perth’s best venues. This has led to Jason having a significant presence throughout Universities in Western Australia, including gigs at various large scale University events by UWA, Curtin, and ECU over the past year.

On the production front he’s been busy in the studio to produce tracks that have seen regular inclusion to his dynamic sets. Currently working on several tracks with other Perth producers and interest from international labels and DJ’s, it’s only a matter of time until we see Jason’s tracks being played internationally on a regular basis.

With a massive end of year already scheduled, including the launch of his live performance act Collage at Summadayze 2010, the future is looking bright for Perth’s rising star: Jason Creek.
